My name is Michael Levis. Thanks for visiting our website. Near North Elevator Consulting (NNEC) was created in 2008 specifically to address the needs of design professionals, facilities management firms, and property owners in Central and Northern Ontario. Many of the National or International Consulting firms concentrate on the big city markets while suburban, or outlying areas are largely ignored. Near North Elevator Consulting is dedicated to providing Central and Northern Ontario with high quality, low cost, vertical transportation consulting services.
I was born and raised in the North Bay area and currently reside in Parry Sound Ontario. After graduating from Mohawk College, Architectural Technology, I worked for over 34 years with one of the largest elevator companies in the world and with my 14 years with NNEC, I am going on 48 years in the industry. My many years of experience encompass elevator engineering and design, cost estimating, sales engineering, new equipment sales, service and modernization sales, code compliance and general management. I have an Ontario TSSA EDM-F license, and QEI Elevating Devices Inspector certification as recognized by the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities (NAESA) across North America.
In 2011 we added Marc Levis to our staff with EDM-T and QEI certifications. In 2022 we have added David Conners, EDM-T, as Business Development Manager to our staff.
